Visitors Information:

Trent Valley Gliding Club is based in Kirton Lindsey, North Lincolnshire (for location maps, see ‘Contact & Location Details’ page). It is run and operated by its members and has been since the Club was formed in 1965, when it was based at Sturgate. An illustrated history of the Club can be read here (306kb pdf).

The Club operates (weather permitting) each weekend and on Wednesday afternoons. We also fly on Bank Holidays and two full weeks each year - usually the Spring (Whit) and August Bank Holiday weeks.

Visitors are welcome to come along to the Club whilst we are flying and have a Basic Instructional Lesson - costs are shown below and on the 'Fees' page.

Before taking a Basic Instructional Lesson, you will need to complete a Temporary Membership Form, which can be completed at the Club, or beforehand by downloading one here.

If you wish to apply for Full Annual Membership of the Club, a form can be completed at the Club, or beforehand by downloading one here.

The above prices include temporary membership of the Club for 28 days, allowing additional flights to be purchased at a lower rate within this period – see ‘Fees’ page for more details.

The duration of the above flights will depend upon the weather conditions on the day, but will be subject to a maximum duration of 15 minutes for a winch launch, 20 minutes for an aerotow and 50 minutes for a mile high flight.
